We have a hospital courier service and all specimens e.g., urine, stool or sputum have to be received by 12 mid-day at the practice.
Validity of the sample is affected if stored for long periods and you will be advised to repeat the sample.
Samples have to be brought in sterile bottles available in reception. Samples brought in any other containers will be disposed due to contamination and you will have to repeat the tests which may cause unnecessary delays in testing.
Pathology results can be obtained over the phone, please ring for results between 12:00 and 15:00 on the Results Line number 07947943463. This number is only to be used for results and anyone using it inappropriately will be asked to call back on the correct number / at the correct time. Do not ring at other times as you will be asked to ring back during the above times. Please allow a minimum of 5 working days for all test results. Any results which need to be acted upon will be done so by the practice and you will be notified before calling to receive your results. Ensure that the practice holds up to date contact details in order to contact you when and if needed.
