The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a small number of volunteer patients, cross-sector, who bring the patient view to the Pennygate Health Centre. Our aim is to encourage a positive relationship between the wider patient community and the surgery staff, both medical and administrative.
The patient members of the group meet regularly to discuss matters from a patient perspective. The full PPG including Dr Nathu meet to discuss areas of mutual interest and plan how, by working together, we can help promote health awareness and communication.
The group has gone from strength to strength over the last 20 years and was one of the first PPGs to be formed in the area. Fund raising activities include a registered charity, monthly bingo and regular quizzes.
Current members include:
- Dr A Nathu – Honorary Member
- Mr P Scarlett – Chairman
- Renzo Gheradi – Vice Chairman
- Maureen Scantlebury – Treasurer
- Alison Baker – Secretary
- Dr Brenda Wickham
- Stacey Edgington
- Hazel Wright
- Sharon Morton
- Robert Blackadder
